Very comfortable room with a balcony! Great housekeeping service and friendly staff all over! I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times in past years and I absolutely love it!! The breakfast room is very stylish with a great selection of breakfast item such as yogurt, cereals, different types of bread and cakes, cold cuts, cheeses as well as warm dishes which concist of scrambled eggs and small sausages. To go with the food are different types of juices and even four kinds of coffee!! The hotel also has a nice pool and is blessed with an elevator! All in all Hotel Fortezza is the perfect place to stay right in the old town!

Very kind people and perfect location. Around the corner lost of restarants and bars, but when you are in the hotel you dont hear anything. Nuce swimmingpool. Everything is clean. 5 minutes walk to beach. I would really recoment this hotel, its great

Very good location close to the old town, the Fortezza castle, the harbor and everything.
Really nice and clean hotel and rooms. Excellent service from the very welcoming and kind staff - day and night.
Free air con - and nice and large breakfast buffet( international and also local specialities)
Good opportunity for relaxation and a nice swim in the garden with pool đ
We will for sure return again.

The staff was extremely friendly and nice. Breakfast was really good and had lots to offer. The rooms are nice with air-conditioning. There is everything you need close to the Hotel and beaches within a small walking distance. Overall really good impression and good price to service comparison. Recommended!

Can't believe it has taken coming back to remind us that we should have written this last year!
Fortezza is a very special hotel. this year, returning for a month long stay, it felt like 'coming home'.
This remarkable hotel was discovered by us one year ago, when we stayed for 3 weeks.
A big feature, and one of many, is the never overcrowded, flower-filled courtyard garden with a swimming pool. It's so unusual to find a hotel in an old part of town with such a luxury! Every bit as good as the photo on the website, which is well worth a look.
Without exception, the hotel team are excellent. Always friendly and helpful.
Last year was wonderful, until, in our final week illness struck. Then we discovered what, caring hospitality really meant. Three days in hospital for my husband and amazing care for myself from the attentive and generous staff. The owner made sure that everything was taken care of, from the ambulance to the hospital, liaising with the medical staff and arranging a taxi back to the hotel.

We booked a 7 night stay at this hotel for July and were so impressed by it. It's a wonderful hotel, situated in the heart of Old Town, it's perfectly situated to get to all the bars, restaurants and beach. All the staff were lovely and very friendly. The facilities were great, the pool was a decent size and was never very busy. The hotel bar was well stocked and reasonably priced. It's the best hotel I've stayed in, can't fault it. Really couldn't have asked for more

A lovely little hotel in a great spot with the cozy streets of the old town just around the corner. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. For us it is a place where we feel completely at home.

The room was very comfortable, I loved the roomy balcony! The pool was very welcome after a busy hot day sightseeing. The breakfast was amazing! Such a great variety of choices. The staff was very helpful and friendly too!

Lovely hotel run by an incredibly kind family who will do their very best to make your stay as pleasant as it can be. 24 hour reception, air conditioning, clean rooms, bright smiles and all of that in the center of the beautiful city of Rethymnon. 10/10 would recommend

Stated here for 1 week, truly amazing little find. So central to the meandering 16th century laneways lined with outdoor dining and quaint shops. Fortezza offered everything from friendliness, cleanliness, quietness and location. We would live to go back again. Miriam, Ireland

Super hÎtel à 2 pas du port de Rethymnon, trÚs calme et vraiment splendide. Immense rooms avec toutes les commodités, la piscine est un peu vieillotte et la place un peu restreinte mais suffit largemente pour profiter du soleil.

Lovely hotel right in the middle of Rithymno ..lovely hotel ...great pool and sunbathing area...not really for young kids/babies as there is not a shallow end or kids pool ....breakfast is continental..with omelet and them little hot dog sausages ..yuk ...as I cannot walk far this was situated just right ....I could walk around stop and sit ..planet of bars around and restaurant and the little streets are full of sunrises ...Rithymno is such a beautiful place to visit ..and there is just a cpl of hotels with pools there...this was a great find

Litet hotell med underbart poolomrÄde pÄ innergÄrd. KÀnns gemytligt och mycket trevlig personal. Bra frukost. Bra stÀdning. BestÀll en grekisk sallad vid poolen och den Àr mega stor! NÀrhet till alla trÄnga grÀnder med mycket restaurangutbud gör att detta lÀge Àr helt perfekt. Det Àr nÄgot lÀngre till stranden, men promenaden tar ca 20 min och det Àr gott om stopp pÄ vÀgen. Rekommenderar Hop-on bussen som ger sig upp i bergen, svindlande högt. Allt inom promenadstrÄk frÄn Hotell Fortezza.
